Sparbach Nature Reserve

The Sparbach Nature Reserve near Mödling was created in 1962 as Austria's first nature reserve. The 50th anniversary was celebrated in 2012 and the Reserve was awarded the "Nature Reserve of the Year" accolade. Each year, approximately 65,000 people visit the Sparbach Nature Reserve.

A "princely experience" of nature awaits visitors, with romantic ruins, an interactive nature reserve house, wild boar roaming freely and one of the most attractive adventure playgrounds in the Vienna Woods.
